Although our racing schedule ends in mid-September, I think some of the best sailing days of the season occur throughout the month of September. This particular Wednesday, the weather and the wind were perfect for a singlehanded, mid-afternoon sail. Although it was a beautiful day, the hazy sky was caused by smoke from the forest fires on the West coast having been blown all the way East.
